The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association conference kicked off Sunday in Anaheim, California, with a clear message for grocers that there's ample opportunity to steal market share from restaurants.

The International Dairy, Deli, Bakery Association is putting the spotlight on 34 industry leaders who are helping to advance grocery fresh food departments. Awards will be given out at the IDDBA conference on June 4 in Anaheim, California.

Grocery store bakery unit sales are almost back to 2019 levels and dollar sales are up more than 20%, according to a new, first-of-its-kind report from FMI-The Food Industry Association.
