Labor Woes Threaten Product Availability, CPG Group Warns
Demand for consumer packaged goods climbed 8.7% over already-elevated year-ago levels as producers continue to contend with labor challenges and higher material and freight prices, the Consumer Brands Association reported.

Processed and unprocessed food prices slid in July from June but remain largely above July 2020 levels. For the entire U.S. economy, wholesale prices climbed 7.8% year over year in July.
