Meijer Makes $2M Donation to Maximize Food Bank Space

Feeding America West Michigan launched its Nourish Tomorrow campaign—a $6 million advancement campaign aimed to move the food bank’s headquarters and distribution center from Comstock Park to 3070 Shaffer Avenue, SE in Kentwood, Mich.—because the food bank’s current Comstock Park facility is operating beyond its functional capacity.

UNFI said customers in more markets this year will be able to reserve bags of surplus and soon-to-expire foods at steep discounts through its expanded collaboration with Too Good To Go.

"The first quarter was another period of strong execution for the Blue Apron team, and we expect to continue to grow customers in the second quarter," said President and CEO Linda Findley.

Grains and vegetables saw sharp spikes in wholesale prices as the Producer Price Index moved higher again last month.
