An Inside Look at Dom's Lincoln Park Store

Dom’s Kitchen & Market—helmed by Mariano’s founder Bob Mariano, former Mariano executive Don Fitzgerald and Jay Owen, great-grandson of Dominick’s founder Dominick DiMatteo—opened its first location at 2730 N. Halsted St. in Chicago in 2021.

An Inside Look at Hy-Vee's Reimagined Store in Missouri

Similar to Hy-Vee's new flagship grocery store in Grimes, Iowa, the 93,000-square-foot Hy-Vee on Sunshine Street in Springfield, Mo., features a food hall and displays from partners DSW and Pair Eyewear.

The 32,000-square-foot store will serve residents of Brookland and the surrounding community.

The 48,000-square-foot store will feature an expanded prepared-foods section and a "Fresh Pour" drinks area that will offer coffee and tea as well as smoothies, beer and wine.

In addition to the contactless shopping experience, the small-footprint store features more than 800 local products from nearly 100 local suppliers.

The 59,000-plus-square-foot retail supermarket will include an in-store bakery/deli, complete with an Asian wok, hot food bar, cafe seating area, deluxe salad bar, hickory wood smoker, stone hearth pizza oven and fresh sushi.

The new Sprouts Farmers Market location will include a farmer’s market experience, something CEO Jack Sinclair sees as key to success for the company.

Aside from growth in Iowa, the retailer plans to enter Kansas later this year with its Meat Market concept and open stores in Nebraska and Missouri.

The design of the new store, set to open March 10, pays homage to classic San Francisco with inspiration from the former Crystal Palace Market, the modern Tenderloin district and the colors of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The location in Maple Grove, Minn., features a sit and sip bar, a build-your-own six-pack wall, more than 1,400 wines and more than 30 doors of chilled product.
