Kroger extends PBM coverage with Prime Therapeutics

Supermarket giant called the terms in the PBM’s latest pharmacy provider proposal "far out of line."

If approved, the settlement would put an end to the bulk of the state, local and tribal lawsuits filed against the nation’s largest retailer over the sale and distribution of the addictive drugs.

An Ohio judge this week said the pharmacies must give the money to two counties to “abate the opioid nuisance they caused.” Walmart said it will appeal the ruling.

The Save Mart Companies is moving its pharmacy services to Walgreens, the retailer announced.

“Our customers enjoy the convenience of curbside pickup for their grocery orders, so we are excited to add prescriptions to that offering,” says Publix VP of Pharmacy Dain Rusk.

Walmart Inc. also is instituting a progressive wage model that will boost techs' pay up to $4 more per hour over four years.

The expansion into North and Central Florida, two years in the works, marks Walmart Health's debut in the Sunshine State.

Using prepaid cards in-stores, shoppers can select from eligible items to help support their health and wellness needs.

“We are on a mission to make healthcare services more accessible for our patients,” said Kristin Williams of Hy-Vee.
