Breakfast just got more interesting. Kellogg Co. is giving consumers what it called the “best of both cereal worlds” with the release of limited-editions Mashups Cereal, which combines Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops in one box.
The release brings to mind another mashup: Mayochup by Kraft Heinz, which was released in September 2018. The product—a mix of mayonnaise, ketchup and a blend of spices—created a lot of buzz on social media.
Mashups Cereal is bound to do the same.
"Kellogg's is always looking to innovate and deliver new experiences that our cereal fans desire," Erin Storm, marketing director of Kellogg All Family Cereal, said in a release. "As almost half of cereal lovers mix cereals together, we wanted to make this two-in-one breakfast experience even easier. With Kellogg's Mashups Cereal, families have a convenient way to enjoy a delicious mix of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops all in one box."
Mashups Cereal is available in stores nationwide and online with an SRP of $3.99 for a 9.8-ounce box and $5.69 for a 15.6-ounce box, Kellogg said.
The Kellogg Co. is based in Battle Creek, Mich. Its brands include Pringles, Cheez-It, Special K, Frosted Flakes, Pop-Tarts, Corn Flakes, Eggo and more.
