Recently retired as group VP of Schnuck Markets, Ed Meyer logged 41 years working in the retail supermarket industry. As a member of Schnuck’s senior leadership team, he began in the meat department and held various positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career, including in deli, seafood, bakery and prepared foods, and was ultimately responsible for the full scope of the St. Louis-based retailer’s perishable departments. Meyer was also instrumental in developing the chain’s central kitchen.
