What’s the best part of your job?
Food! Really, the people that I work with every day. We are in a groundbreaking opportunity with our new company and being able to offer our customers products from conventional offerings to natural and organics. To be able to work for a company that has this expanded variety is exciting and fun to see where we take it.
What inspires your leadership approach?
My leadership approach is to be flexible no matter the situation, team member or event. Working in many different aspects of the business has taught me that no one person or situation is alike; you need to be flexible and understanding.
What do you cherish most about being a part of the grocery business?
The different relationships that I have built over the years across business units. On the wholesale side of the business, I like that I can still be hands-on with our own company-owned stores as well as the independent stores that we service. To find solutions to front-line frustrations is something I really enjoy.
Favorite food: Avocados and bacon on anything.
