What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Seeing the success of the associates after we install the SelfCookingCenter, [from] the time they save cooking throughout the day to the self-cleaning [that] makes for an easy end of the day. I have actually seen staff hug their SelfCookingCenter.
What inspires your leadership approach?
I have had many great mentors in my career. I love being able to pass on that knowledge and passion for serving great food. There is that special “something” about providing a great experience to each and every customer.
What do you value most about being a part of the grocery business?
Your local grocery store is the backbone of foodservice in most communities. Being a part of this industry gives me a strong feel for the trends and cuisine across the country. Most times, I am learning as much as I am teaching while supporting the many different areas of the grocery store.
