I love the bakery industry. The most rewarding aspect is the ability to marry my passion for baking with a career that supports my family. I have always loved baking and relish the ability to work on developing high-quality bakery products that delight consumers of all ages. 

Knowing that I’m trusted to make the important decisions for my categories and seeing the final outcome from them.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is finding ways to improve the work experience for our associates. I believe that improving the work experience for associates helps them to feel supported and valued, which in turn allows them to provide excellent customer service and deliver high-quality products. I also really enjoy mentoring small startup food companies in all their phases, from ideation to bringing the product to market and then growing their brand.

Having the opportunity to work with all types of people and the ability to help people grow emotionally and financially.

Working with our customers to solve problems to grow our mutual sales. 

For the third year, the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) and WGB have partnered to recognize individuals in bakery, deli, foodservice/prepared foods and dairy who have consistently demonstrated excellence and superior results in the previous year.

The ability to make a positive impact on a broad audience.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is coaching and mentoring leaders. I am fortunate to work with remarkably talented and creative people daily. Seeing them become successful leaders and being exceptional in their roles is rewarding.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a part of Van’s Kitchen is providing high-quality egg rolls that families can share and that bring people together at the dinner table. Another is providing opportunities to our “roll models” (employees) so they can conquer challenges and fulfill their dreams. At Van’s Kitchen, we believe there is room at the table for everyone, no matter your gender, nationality, age or class. I wouldn’t be able to do my job without each and every roll model’s collaborative work and support, and I truly appreciate everything they do.
