The retailer worked with Latino businesses to add foods such as gluten-free empanadas and grain-free Mexican wedding cookies to its grocery offerings for Latino Heritage Month.

The new market is 20% larger than the 40-year-old one nearby that it replaces and will feature a wide variety of prepared foods and other items.

The organizations’ goal is to advance fruit and vegetable consumption in America.

“Our fourth quarter capped a year of improving operational performance driving strong financial results,” said the wholesaler's CEO Sandy Douglas.
