Inside The Giant Company's Fresh Prince of Philadelphia

The Giant Company’s newest Philadelphia store located at 2201 Cottman Avenue has opened its doors for business.The 67,000-square-foot store will operate from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week and employs approximately 150 full- and part-time team members.

The new Cottman Avenue store features Giant’s signature fresh departments, coupled with expanded product variety and new offerings including farm fresh garden produce.

Other fresh offerings include meat and seafood departments, a full-service deli, a Saladworks and Hissho Sushi, a full-service bakery, Giant Direct, and a Beer & Wine Eatery.

The store also features The Giant Company’s broadest array of global flavors, with new and expanded brands to serve customers seeking Kosher, Halal, and other foods from around the world throughout all departments of the store.

The Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant Company​ operates in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Its 35,000 team members support nearly 190 stores, 132 pharmacies, 107 fuel stations, and over 150 online pickup hubs and grocery delivery service.

As part of The Giant Company’s commitment to making a difference in the local communities it serves, the Cottman Avenue store celebrated its opening by making donations to each of the following community groups: Feast of Justice, Henry Lawton School, and Philadelphia Fire Department – Engine #38.
