Inside H-E-B’s New Southwest Austin Store

H-E-B has opened its new 90,000-square-foot Oak Hill store in southwest Austin on U.S. Highway 290 and FM 1826. The new store replaces the San Antonio, Texas-based grocer's  former Oak Hill store and features an expansive product assortment and several convenient services including H-E-B Curbside.

With an updated “world-class shopping experience,” H-E-B says the new store offers fresh, quality food options and innovative services that allow customers to choose how they shop, pay for and receive their products. This includes the addition of a H-E-B Curbside, a digital service the company continues to rollout across Texas, which allow customers to place orders online for pickup at the store.

Other signature features of the Oak Hill store include a bakery department featuring handmade artisan breads and cakes as well as an H-E-B Tortillería for fresh tortillas made in-house.

The meat market at H-E-B’s Oak Hill store offers over 300 feet of natural, quality meats and poultry, while the adjacent fish market has a wide variety of fresh and sustainably caught seafood including wild-caught and farm-raised selections.

A large selection of Dinner Tonight food offerings including sushi, Cooking Connection and Meal Simple take the work out of meal planning and preparation. The store also includes an expansive deli serving a variety of meats and cheeses, rotisserie chicken, in-house roasted meats, charcuterie and a Mediterranean olive bar.

H-E-B’s newest store also features a large selection of craft and imported beers as well as wines from around the world.

A produce section with expanded organic and Texas-grown selections and a large assortment of fresh-cut, ready-to-serve fruits and vegetables is also in-store, as is a Blooms floral department with certified floral designers on staff. The new Oak Hill store also offers an outdoor space with a shaded playscape and picnic tables for families to enjoy.
