With a focus on fresh offerings and a local design aesthetic, Stater Bros. Markets recently unveiled its newest store in Pasadena, Calif., marking the retailer’s first location within the community and its 26th location in Los Angeles County. Led by Store Manager Christy Gragg, a 28-year company veteran, the new 42,000-square-foot market is at 1390 N. Allen Ave. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Garden Fresh Produce
The store’s expanded produce department boasts an assortment of more than 1,000 fruit and vegetable items, with a focus on local offerings and enhanced organic selections, while a designated floral department touts fresh flowers, plants and specialty floral arrangements. “We are excited to expand our presence in the San Gabriel Valley,” Stater Bros. CEO Pete Van Helden said in a statement. “Customers can look forward to an exceptional shopping experience and will be pleased with our extraordinary customer service, wide variety of services and fresh product offerings.”
Meat the Experts
A full-service fresh meat department features Stater Bros.’ famous certified meat cutters available to guide shoppers through their purchase decisions and provide premium meats cut on the spot. The full-service fresh seafood department is staffed with seasoned fishmongers available to assist shoppers with fish selection and cooking techniques. The store also offers FujiSan Handcrafted Sushi made in-house daily.
Additional fresh offerings include a full-service deli counter, featuring Stater Bros.’ signature Cleo & Leo exclusive recipes, such as fresh, hand-breaded fried chicken and specialty sandwiches and wraps, as well as a full line of prepared party trays and grab-and-go meal solutions.
Icing on the Cake
With a full selection of artisan breads and rolls, specialty single-serve desserts and its Cleo & Leo line of classic cakes, Stater Bros.’ hot bakery department is staffed with in-house cake decorators to assist with decadent treats for specialty occasion needs.
Catering to the Los Angeles-area demographic, Stater Bros. Pasadena boasts a selection of high-end premium wines, an extensive craft beer selection and an array of gourmet, natural, organic and ethnic items, as well as a vast assortment of specialty foods catered toward vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
With a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, Stater Bros. further celebrated the Pasadena store’s grand opening with charity donations totaling $25,000 toward the Pasadena Police Department’s PAL Program, Friends in Deed, Foothill Unity Center, the Veterans Resource Center and Scholars Transitioning and Realizing Success (STARS) Program at Pasadena City College.
In addition to the charity donations, Stater Bros. Charities recently made $12,500 in donations to the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, Marshall Fundamental Secondary School, Foothill Family, Union Station Homeless Services and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 446, demonstrating the retailer’s commitment to the San Gabriel Valley community, which it has served since 1954 with stores in Azusa, Claremont, Covina, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, Walnut, West Covina and Whittier.
