Hand-Picked Products Fill the Store
Whole Foods Market has opened its newest store with a focus on local. Located in Massapequa Park, N.Y., the 38,500-square-foot store at 5214 Sunrise Highway features more than 1,000 products from the Tri-State area—hand-picked by Whole Foods’ Northeast Region Local Forager Chris Manca.
Paleo-Friendly Prepared Food
The prepared foods section offers a deli counter, hot and cold food bars. Ready-to-eat soups and a range of ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat mix and match meals, like paleo-friendly grilled salmon, chicken scallopini, macaroni and cheese and roasted butternut squash, are on the menu.
Pizza and Pasta Bar
Also on the perimeter, a specialty department with a self-serve fresh Severino Pasta bar; a cheese counter overseen by trained cheese mongers who can create custom cheese boards; a full-service seafood counter with sustainable offerings; a full-service butcher; and plenty of freshly made pizzas.
A wellness and beauty section is stocked with more than 100 local products, including body care essentials from Lux Naturals, ginger and turmeric shots from Monfefo, and hand-poured candles from Satya + Sage.
