Jimbo’s, a San Diego-based natural grocer with five locations, is slated to open its newest store in Carmel Valley, Calif., next month. In addition to introducing a fresh look for the grocer and an elevated shopping experience for the consumer, the new Del Mar Highlands Town Center location will include what officials are calling the first plastic-free water aisle with a refillable water station on the West Coast.

The store will also feature 100% organic produce, an expanded cafe and foodservice, and indoor and outdoor dining areas.

“Always committed to our values, we’re further accomplishing our mission to provide the highest quality organic and natural foods to the community, while being conscious of our carbon footprint,” Jimbo’s founder Jim Someck said in a release.

Jimbo’s headquarters operate out of its original Carmel Valley location. The new store is 10,000 square feet larger than the existing location, which will close upon the opening at Del Mar Highlands Town Center.

“The new location will have more space to gather, with indoor and outdoor seating; expanded prepared foods that are all made from scratch using organic ingredients; more organic and natural grocery options; and a supportive, passionate staff to attend to our customer,” said Someck.

Other highlights of the new store include an extensive beer and wine selection, a pizza station, made-from-scratch take-home meal options and an enhanced juice and coffee bar.

Jimbo’s has five locations throughout San Diego County. The stores are in Carmel Valley, Escondido, Carlsbad, 4S Ranch and downtown San Diego.
