Raley’s has opened its third Raley’s O-N-E Market as it continues its chainwide transformation to the concept focused on a curated assortment of products that are fresh, nutritious, organic when possible, minimally processed, sustainably sourced and free from ingredients on the brand’s banned ingredients list. The 42,000-square-foot store at 18144 Wedge Parkway in Reno, Nevada, marks the second Raley’s location to undergo a conversion to O-N-E Market.
“In line with our purpose of changing the way the world eats, one plate at a time, we are proud to have expanded the Raley’s O-N-E Market banner into Nevada,” said Keith Knopf, Raley’s president and CEO, in a statement. “This store conversion was a purpose-driven decision inspired by our desire to help people live healthier, happier and more fulfilled lives.”
All in O-N-E
The Reno Raley’s, which has served shoppers since 1996, closed from April 26-30 to undergo the conversion into Raley’s O-N-E Market. Reopened May 1, the newly converted store features about 4,200 new products, alongside the nearly 12,000 better-for-you products already carried in the existing store.
A Clean Cafe
New additions to the store’s cafe include coffee from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, specialty toasts and an organic juice bar serving fresh pressed juices, wellness shots, smoothies and acai bowls. Restaurant-quality options include hearth-baked pizza and sandwiches, freshly prepared sushi and poke bowls made with 100% sustainable seafood and artisanal baked goods with clean ingredients.
Setting the Standard for Meat and Seafood
Raley’s O-N-E Market’s meat department features antibiotic-free with no added hormones, nitrates or nitrites. The grocer said it sources grass-fed and humanely raised whenever possible. Its seafood is wild caught, its shellfish is responsibly farmed, and all of its seafood is third-party certified sustainable.
Raley’s O-N-E Market in Reno is also home to the newest feature of the grocer’s loyalty program: Something Extra Health. This program offers free classes, store tours, nutrition coaching, personalized supplement recommendations and more all led by a nutrition adviser.
Room to Gather
Part of Raley’s O-N-E Market’s commitment to being more than a grocery store, the Something Extra Gather room provides loyalty program members in the community with a free place to host meetings, book clubs, birthday parties or any other occasion. “We believe positive social connection and feeling part of a community is important, and we designed these store attributes to make that more likely and possible,” Knopf told WGB.
