Southeastern Grocers partners with DoorDash to continue its e-commerce expansion

The partnership will include online shopping with in-store prices, and delivery in two hours or less for Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket shoppers starting next month.

Last-mile logistics provider DoorDash has partnered with  Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Winn-Dixie, Harveys Supermarket and Fresco y Más, to offer online shopping at its Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket banners, the company announced Thursday. 

The new relationship will feature in-store prices and delivery in two hours or less starting next month, the company said. 

Curbside pickup for Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket stores will begin early next year, and Fresco y Más customers will be able to utilize the delivery and curbside pickup options in early 2023, the grocery retailer said.

After extensive research and listening to customer feedback, we recognized there was a need for delivery and curbside pickup options that reflected the same great prices and deals shopping in our stores provide,” said Andrew Nadin, chief customer and digital officer of Southeastern Grocers, in a statement.

“We believe shopping online should be an extension of shopping your local stores, and our new offering is just that. It’s a Winn for customers looking to save, while still enjoying the convenience of shopping from their homes or offices.”

Through this partnership, shoppers can log onto the Winn-Dixie or Harveys Supermarket app or website and receive their order, which will be fulfilled by DoorDash DriveDoorDash’s white-label fulfillment platform, Southeastern Grocers said in a statement. Southeastern Grocers said customers may also notice store enhancements and equipment installments in Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket locations over the coming months as the grocer readies its e-commerce capabilities.
