Wrigleyville: Home of the Cubs and Now Foxtrot

Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood—home of the Chicago Cubs with Wrigley Field at its centerpiece—is now home to a Foxtrot. The specialty retailer known for 30-minute delivery and 5-minute pickup opened its 20th store (and 14th in Chicago) at 3649 N. Clark St. on May 18.
Foxtrot brings to the historic community its signature all-day cafe experience, a full coffee bar, a wide assortment of wine and craft beer, and a selection of pantry staples, locally sourced goods and grab-and-go offerings. With the opening, it also debuted a new summer menu. “Wrigleyville is home to so many of my favorite memories in the city, and the opportunity to open right outside of Wrigley Field is one we couldn’t be more excited to take on,” said Mike LaVitola, co-founder and CEO of Chicago-based Foxtrot. The 2,750-square-foot space, designed in partnership by Foxtrot’s in-house design team and Chicago-based architecture firm Range Design & Architecture, has a patio facing Gallagher Way park for customers to enjoy a coffee, glass of wine or quick meal outside. Gallagher Way is adjacent to Wrigley Field and serves as a gathering place for Cubs games and other events, providing a “fantastic opportunity to introduce Foxtrot to new customers who are visiting for a game or concert,” LaVitola said.

Foxtrot’s new summer menu includes fresh housemade salads, dips and snacks. Other menu highlights include couscous chopped salad, smoked trout dip​, baked feta and roasted tomato​, hummus topped with harissa marinated short rib​.

The Wrigleyville store’s beverage section offers a nod to the sounds of the baseball stadium with “Beer Here! Ice Cold Beer!” signage calling attention to an array of grab-and-go alcohol options. Nonalcohol options include kombucha, juices, water and more.

The store also has a dedicated wine section, with both chilled and unchilled options. Foxtrot, which announced in July 2021 a goal of opening 50 new stores over the next two years, has 14 locations in Chicago, two in Dallas, three in Washington, D.C., and one in Virginia.
