Sprouts Farmers Market is scheduled to open its 400th grocery store Friday, this one in Haddon Township, New Jersey.
The grand opening caps a busy summer for the specialty grocer, which has opened seven locations in the last month.
In addition to the new New Jersey store, Sprouts has recently opened markets in Rialto, California; San Tan Valley, Arizona; Boca Raton, Florida; Kenneth City, Florida; West Melbourne, Florida; and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to Haddon Township,” Mayor Randall Teague said in a statement. “In addition to providing fresh, healthy and specialty foods to our residents, Sprouts also brings 100 jobs to our community.”
The grocer will host grand opening events throughout the weekend, including a “pop-up party” featuring seasonal produce tastings, face painting, produce carving and more.
The first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a reusable bag filled with product samples. Sampling stations will also be set up throughout the store.
On Saturday, the first 400 shoppers will receive a $10 Sprouts gift card and will be treated to a free hotdog lunch.
Shoppers can also enter a contest to win a $500 Sprouts gift card.
Like all Sprouts locations, the Haddon Township store partners with local farmers, such as Flaim Farms, Nardelli Bros. Inc.-Lake View Farms, The Jersey Fruit company and others.
