The grocer added that customers can still access deals online to earn gas points they can redeem at Tops fuel stations.

Eight Tops Friendly Markets stores are joining the ranks of the grocery chain’s home delivery service via Instacart, the Williamsville, New York-based grocery chain announced earlier this week.

The expansion of delivery service will include locations in New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont. Delivery is already available at 139 of its 149 total stores, the grocer noted.

The eight new locations include:

• 16 W. Main St., Hancock, New York

• 273 Main St., North Creek, New York

• 82 VT Route 15W, Hardwick, Vermont

• 7544 Court St., Elizabeth Town, New York

• 11 Main St., Wellsboro, Pennsylvania

• 111 Bolivar Rd., Wellsville, New York

• 64 E. Washington St., Ellicottville, New York

• 51 W. Main St., Randolph Plaza, Randolph, New York

“We’re excited to bring even more convenience to the shoppers across our various markets,” said Jillian Sirica, manager, digital marketing for Tops Friendly Markets. “This expansion marks our 14th expansion since Tops launched Instacart services in 2017, allowing us to serve 95% of our population.”

Tops' partnership with the same-day delivery platform started small, with three grocery stores in upstate New York and another one in Erie, Pennsylvania. The grocery chain added 44 more stores to Instacart in 2018. "As one of the region’s largest supermarket chains, Tops customers throughout the geographic footprint, whether residing in a larger city or a rural community, now have access to same-day home delivery from Instacart,” the company noted.

When using Instacart, customers can still access deals online to earn gas points they can redeem at Tops fuel stations. “Due to the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Instacart has become an essential service for millions of people in the United States and Canada who are depending on the platform to safely, reliably and affordably get the groceries and household goods they need in a contactless manner,” the company added.
