Walmart’s business-to-business channel wants to be invited to your company holiday party.
Walmart Business on Monday announced the debut of a Holiday Party Shop and Employee Gift Finder, online enhancements designed to simplify corporate celebrations this time of year.
The Holiday Party Shop features items for work celebrations, including decorations, snacks and more. The gift finder has more than 1,000 options, such as earbuds, restaurant gift cards, sweet treats and other items.
The retail giant partnered with TikTok star Corporate Natalie to promote the new offering.
“After putting in the work for a full calendar year, I think we owe it to our teams to have a little end-of-year celebration,” Corporate Natalie said in a statement. “Who doesn’t like devouring a charcuterie board and getting a little competitive with games?”
Early this year, Walmart launched Walmart Business and membership-based Walmart Business+, created to grow sales from small- and medium-sized businesses who had already been shopping at Walmart for items like coffee, snacks, office supplies, cleaning products and more.
In July, the retailer rolled out a Walmart Business app, along with a streamlined ordering process.
“We saw at Walmart that we have a long history of supporting businesses and nonprofits,” Ashley Hubka, SVP and general manager of Walmart Business, told WGB in June. “Our store managers will know the local business is coming in. We saw an opportunity to both serve them better and attract new customers in this space.”
The Walmart Business app, which enables up to five people to share an account, offers curbside pickup and direct-to-office delivery scheduling at more than 4,700 U.S. Walmart locations, the retailer said.
For $98 a year, consumers can enroll in Walmart Business+, a premium service that provides free shipping with no minimum order, free pickup and delivery with a $35 minimum order, 2% rewards on orders of $250 or more, and 5% savings on eligible items set to recurring order subscriptions.
When it comes to company holiday parties and gifting, Corporate Natalie offered some tips.
Make the season fun by planning engaging team-building activities and “curate the right atmosphere” with themed decorations and a dress code that differs from typical office wear.
“Outsource the tough stuff,” she noted. “Let Walmart Business help you take care of the office holiday party and employee gifting, so you can enjoy the season.”
