Less than a week after an overnight manager killed six people at a Virginia Walmart, authorities have completed their in-store investigation. Meanwhile, the suspect charged with killing 10 people at a Tops market pled guilty on Monday.

The mass shooting suspect, a Walmart overnight team lead who'd been with the retailer since 2010, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Six others were hospitalized.

If approved, the settlement would put an end to the bulk of the state, local and tribal lawsuits filed against the nation’s largest retailer over the sale and distribution of the addictive drugs.

With inflation soaring, the retail giant said it’s seeing a big jump in consumers making more than $100,000 a year. It’s too soon to tell whether they’ll become loyal Walmart shoppers.

The retail giant’s food and beverage sales outpaced all other categories during the third quarter, and the company continues to see growing interest from higher-income shoppers.

The retail giant on Tuesday offered a year-long Walmart+ membership for $49, half off the usual price, for a very limited time. The program comes with free grocery delivery, among a suite of perks.

The regional distribution center in Palestine, Texas, has been retrofitted with AI-powered technology from Symbotic, part of Walmart’s plan to update all 42 of its distribution facilities over the next eight years.

The retail giant is working with Loop, a company that encourages reuse by returning refillable containers back to stores.

The deal will boost the retail giant’s order-fulfillment speed and allows Walmart to use custom-made bots to get digital orders out more efficiently, the company said.
