The Midwest grocer said site work and demolition is set to start in early 2024, with a projected open date in 2025.

The warehouse retail concept from US Foods now operates 90 stores nationwide.

The family-managed broadline foodservice distribution company joins other retailers looking to increase unit growth in the Midwest state.

The new state-of-the-art supermarket features signature specialty Inserra departments, including a from-scratch fresh bakery offering store-made bread, cakes and pastries.

The Amazon-owned grocer also announced it is donating a refrigerated van to the food rescue nonprofit organization NourishKC.

The ground-up build replaces a former Rite Aid store and features grocery essentials in various departments, including produce, meat and seafood, as well as expanded retail foodservice offerings.

The grocer said the new store in Mason will include an approximately 50,000-square-foot main level and a 9,000-square-foot mezzanine, which will feature an on-site Culinary Center.
