The Retail Dietitians Business Alliance (RDBA) will host RDBA Virtual Experience: What You Need to Know, a virtual conference and trade show for retail dietitians, brands and retailers, from Sept. 22-24. Scheduled events will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST and 2 to 3.30 p.m. EST.
Similar to a traditional conference and trade show, RDBA Virtual Experience will feature keynotes, educational breakout sessions, networking sessions, individual sponsor appointments and more. Dietitians will receive continuing education credits, and all RDBA members who are retail dietitians can attend at no charge.
“With our utmost concern for the personal health, safety and well-being of our RD members and sponsors we created the unique RDBA Virtual Exchange that allows our members to have real human interactions, earn continuing education credits and get the information they need to succeed during and after the pandemic,” said Phil Lempert, CEO of RDBA.
Participating brands will receive a virtual trade-show booth, have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with retail dietitians, and send product samples in advance to retail dietitians as part of the Samplefest Virtual Experience Swag Box.
“Just as 9-11 forever changed airline travel, the coronavirus pandemic will have
long-lasting impacts on how and where consumers purchase and consume food,” said Annette Maggi, executive director of RDBA. “As a result, it is more important than ever for brands to stay relevant, be strategic and reinforce their relationship with retail RDs and for retail dietitians to be prepared for leadership in this new era.”
Founded in 2012, RDBA has more than 2,200 members, 800 of which are retail dietitians throughout the U.S. and Canada who most often work for or consult to supermarket chains.
