In the wake of new research indicating that 65% of Americans stress out over New Year’s resolutions, Whole Foods Market has launched the Resolution Renovator, an online hub that helps people rethink rigid resolutions, the company said.

To fuel the Resolution Renovator, the Austin, Texas-based grocer teamed with motivators who embody positivity in three key areas—mind, body and spirit. Plant-based recipe developer and well-being enthusiast Radhi Devlukia-Shettyrepresents mind; Peloton instructor Cody Rigsbyrepresents body; and motivational speaker and New York Times best-selling author Gabby Bernsteinrepresents spirit. Each wellness motivator offers curated affirmations and intentions within the Resolution Renovator, to help guide mindful living in 2022.

According to a survey from Whole Foods Market and Wakefield Research, nearly two-thirds of Americans agree that New Year’s resolutions put extra pressure on them at the start of the year. In addition, many doubt their resolutions will be successful, giving themselves less than a 50% chance, on average, at achieving their resolutions. With the Resolution Renovator, Whole Foods Market aims to help consumers set attainable affirmations and intentions at the top of 2022, instead of unrealistic resolutions that are often out of reach.

“At the top of the year, when many of us are setting new goals, the most important thing to remember is to root them in joy and love for yourself,” said Rigsby in a statement. “Our goal with Whole Foods Market’s Resolution Renovator is to move away from potentially stressful New Year’s resolutions in favor of motivational intentions that allow ourselves some much-needed grace.”

From Jan. 5-26, consumers can visit the Resolution Renovator to receive personalized affirmations and intentions from the wellness motivators. Consumers can select mind, body or spirit and then answer a series of questions to reveal their affirmation and intention.

For every use of the Resolution Renovator, consumers will be entered to win a 2022 Well-Being Bundle comprised of the motivators’ top picks from Whole Foods Market, with one winner each day. The Well-Being Bundles each feature three hand-selected products from Whole Foods Market that each motivator uses as part of their own daily well-being journey.

At the end of the program, three users of the Resolution Renovator will win an exclusive, personalized video from the wellness motivator in the category they chose, which includes an uplifting message tied to their 2022 affirmation and intention. Additionally, Whole Foods offers well-being tips, nourishing meal plans and self-care guides through its website

The Whole Foods Market Resolutions Survey was conducted by Wakefield Research among 1,000 nationally representative U.S. adults ages 18 and older between Nov. 9-16, 2021, using an email invitation and an online survey.
